Harry Kearney : Exceptionally fast human being.

If it wasn’t enough to have already won the Dirksen Derby this season (watch the rad video below), Harry Kearney just upped the ante for the season and won the toughest of the tough, the one, the only – Legendary Baker Banked Slalom.

Harry was up against some of the best in professional snowboarding – Gigi Rüf, Josh Dirksen, Temple Cummins, Terje, Lucas Debari and Scotty Wittlake to name just a wee bit of the talent.

Harry’s time of 1:43.35 would place him in the winner’s circle.

Here he is post comp with his bro Hagen and Rob Kingwill who got 2nd in the fakie race to none other than Terje and designed this year’s contest poster. Congrats, Harry! Keep sliding sideways fast. Real damn fast.

Search For A Cool Place.

With the lifts about to fire up from North Korea to North Carolina (A Basin and the Palmer Snowfield are open!) we decided to stoke the fire with some radness. First up, from the Pacific Northwest is “Search for a cool place” with Mark Landvik, Patrick McCarthy, Ryland Bell, and our boy, Harry Kearney. Search for a Cool Place is an exploration of snowboarding, mind-expansion, adrenaline freaks, the trips they take and where they’ve ended up.

The uber radness from Washington state continues with the Go! Boarding crue. Harry Kearney links up with the boyz to get down and get radical. Winter is almost here. Let’s do this.

Kevin Jones – Back in The Day.

A rare breed of human, Kevin Jones, has forever altered the snowboard landscape with the limitless freestyle trajectory he has brought to big mountain exploration. In short, Kevin Jones is a boss. We are forever grateful for his early involvement in Compatriot Snowboards. Here’s a rad Standard Films clip from Kevin a couple years back. He’s probably out fly fishing somewhere right now, so enjoy these old clips until the snow starts flying again.

Kingwill and Kearney finish top 10 at Mt Baker Banked Slalom.

Congratulations to Compatriots Harry Kearney and Rob Kingwill for both finishing top 10 at the Mt Baker Legendary Banked Slalom. Not an easy feat duders. Killing it softly.

Kinger drops a Mercedes Ad?!?!?

“The following video was made with professionals on a closed course. It is dangerous and should not be attempted,” states this Compatriot Snowboards, err, Mercedes commercial? Watch Rob Kingwill get barreled, throw methods, slashes, all on his Valkyrie 158, all in a Mercedes Commercial?

Heck yeah, Rob. Get some. Everybody go out and shred. And get some.

sierra cement.

Tahoe got hit with over 8 feet of snow in the last week. Here are a couple of random snippets from the Mt Rose Zone. Bring a jacket. It’s been blower out here and have a wonderful new year.

Hello from Montana.

Tim Cowie charges the great white wave in Big Sky, Montana like a maniac. Coast to coast, it’s been dumping. Time to clock into the white room like our fellow compatriot, Tim here.

Get some!

Winter. It’s on. Rob Kingwill reports from snowboardmag.com that, “After a series of mishaps and malfunctions, including stalling out my Subaru and not being able to re-start it, switching vehicles, forgetting my snowboard in the process and then spilling a 16-ounce cup of hot coffee all over my truck, I finally made it to the mountain. The Tram line extended a long way back, so I decided to switch it up and ride the gondy for a few laps to let the line calm down.”

Surf The Earth : Rob Kingwill.

The Jackson Hole tram is FINALLY open and Kinger is ready to throw some buckets. Happy Holidays and here’s to many pow turns in the New Year future. Get out and get some, fiends.
